Honor, a Chinese Smartphone brand, is all set to enter the Indian television industry with the launch of their Vision and Vision Pro Smart TVs. The Honor Vision smart TV was originally introduced in the brand’s home market of China in August 2019 and is expected to be released in India during the first quarter of 2020.
Honor claims that the Honor Vision is the world’s first smart TV with an artificial intelligence-powered pop-up camera. Also, it is the company’s first product to be powered by its in-house Harmony operating system.
Specifications and Features
The Honor Vision smart TV features a 55-inch 4K HDR display with a screen-to-body ratio of 94 percent, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a wide viewing angle of 178-degrees. The device is powered by the Honghu 818 display chipset, which has been designed by Huawei’s HiSilicon. The TV is equipped with six 10W speakers to deliver an immersive media experience. The pop-up camera of the TV pops out automatically whenever you are making a call. The camera is loaded with a Neural Processing Unit, which is capable of face recognition.
As for the other specs, the Honor Vision TV has support for multi-device connection. This means that you can use the TV to control smart home appliances like lights, curtains, and more. The TV has German TUV Rheinland blue-light protection, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, USB 3.0 port, and an Ethernet port.
Overall, it seems to be a great TV that is not only feature rich but also future-proof with great features like the pop-up camera that allows video chatting through the TV which seems to be the direction TV are taking in terms of innovation in features of TVs that are going to be launched in the near future. Honor is yet to reveal the pricing of its TV for India. In China, the device is available for approximately Rs 38,250. So, one can mostly expect it to be priced at roughly the same range.
